Bafici 2011 edition

The 13th edition of the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival (BAFICI) will take place between the 6th and 17th of April 2011 with other cinemas in different neighborhoods of Buenos Aires City. Its program will include the exhibition and world premiere of feature films and Argentine and foreign shorts in the official competition, retrospectives and thematic sections. Moreover, the Festival offers its attendees and participants a series of special activities that connect film with other artistic disciplines: music concerts, book presentations, free outdoor movies for children (Little Bafici) and adults, workshops and business meetings such as “Buenos Aires Lab”, “Talent Campus” and “Industry Office”.

BAFICI takes place annually since 1999 and through its 12 previous editions has become one of the most prestigious international film festivals in the world. In 2010, the total amount of attendance reached the historic number of 280 thousand people, putting together the 200 thousand sold tickets and the participation and assistance to parallel free activities. This numbers represent a growth of 10% compared to the 2009 edition and a good augury for the future.
